The Mississippi Humanist Association (MHA) Board of Directors regrets to announce the resignation of Neil Carter from the MHA Board of Directors. Neil submitted his resignation to the board on August 19, 2017, effective immediately. Neil remains a member of the MHA in good standing, and the board would like to thank Neil for his service to the board and to the membership.
In order to fill this vacancy in a manner consistent with our bylaws, the MHA Board of Directors is now seeking volunteers interested in becoming a member the Board of Directors and serving as Vice President of the MHA. In order to be considered for this available volunteer position, you must be a current member of the Mississippi Humanist Association in good standing.

Please note we will take this matter up at our next regular board meeting scheduled for August 31, 2017. If you are interested in joining the MHA Board of Directors, this August meeting is a great time to see the board at work and get the answers to any questions you may have. The new board member/Vice-President will be selected by the Board of Directors at the regular board meeting scheduled for September 29, 2017, and will serve on the board for the reminder of the existing term, which is scheduled for election in February, 2019.
