Hello Humans!

Are you a member of our Facebook page? You might want to give it a shot, it's often the quickest way to get up-to-date with what's going on with the Humanist Agenda.

You'd learn about things like our upcoming offer for those participating with board secretary Eric Reisman in the Feed Our Neighbors 5k - a free T-shirt for running in the race! We'll have a running team up and... running, soon enough.

That's Saturday, September 10th, at 8 AM. Sunday, September 11th, we've got our monthly Second Sunday Brunch. It's going to be at the Corner Bakery in Flowood, in the big room in the back. Corner Bakery Cafe, is located at 108 Market St, Flowood, MS 39232, if you need directions.

Also, we're once again hosting the Central MS Atheists meetup, a place where local atheists can get together and share their tales of woe or joy in a safe, supportive environment. It's Sunday, September 18th, at 3 PM. Details are available on meetup.

We're working on a new website and a new fundraiser, so stay tuned! And if you have anything you want us to be working on - let us know at any of the meetings we're having this month.

Finally, 2016 celebrates 50 years of Star Trek - a show that's almost unique in spreading humanist ideas in popular entertainment, and has even influenced our little group in a few ways. So, you might as well read this, from the Humanist, about fifty years of Star Trek.

Thanks for reading, humans.
