The Mississippi Humanist Association (MHA) is on the move! Come join the MHA for some good food and company at the MHA Sunday Brunch at Half Shell Oyster House in Hattiesburg! MHA President Kim Gibson will be attending this first event in Hattiesburg, along with other MHA members. This will be the MHA’s first venture outside of the Jackson metro area, and we hope all of our friends in the Hattiesburg and coastal area will make plans to join us!
For this event, please RSVP via Facebook, Meetup or via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you plan on attending, as we can’t make reservations, and will need a firm number attending. We will meet in the bar area, and once we have almost everyone present, we can be seated. Just look for the silver colander on a table or ask the hosts where we are.
After brunch, for those that are interested, we may go over to the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) and stand with the counter protestors that are supporting the removal of the Mississippi state flag from the USM campus.
We would love to make this a regular monthly or even bi-monthly event in the Hattiesburg area! Any suggestions for suitable venues are appreciated, and we hope to see you there! Join us!
