4 Ways You Can Make a Difference in Mississippi Today

4 Ways You Can Make a Difference in Mississippi Today

As humanists, we have a lot of issues that are important to us. We want to help as many people as possible, and we can have a hard time figuring out where to start. What can we do that will have the biggest impact?

If we truly want to make a difference, we need to start in our own communities. Here are some ways we can make a difference from the ground up in the Magnolia State.

So, it’s no secret that Jim isn’t too fond of the Ark Encounter, but few expected him to go as far as to raise money for a billboard, but that’ just what he did. Jim helped raise $10,000 for a billboard that said, “Genocide and Incest Park: Celebrating 2,000 Years of Myths.”

Seth Andrews Comes to Mississippi!

The Mississippi Humanist Association was pleased to host Seth Andrews, host of The Thinking Atheist, on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Seth was fantastic and we really enjoyed his visit here! We hope that this event with Seth is the first of many here in Mississippi, and with your continued support we will work to make that happen. The Mississippi Humanist Association is dedicated to building a strong secular community in Mississippi, and we thank Seth for spending time with us and bringing us together. We believe this may have been the largest gathering of humanists and atheists to come together in Mississippi to date, with over 70 people in attendance!

Again, many thanks to Seth, and to all that came out and shared in the fun! And thank you for your support of the Mississippi Humanist Association, which makes events like this possible!
