What is Humanism? We Want to Hear from You!

Let’s talk about humanism.

What is Humanism? After reading the comments on some recent blog posts, it seems some discussion of what humanism actually is (and isn’t) is in order.

The American Humanist Association defines humanism as, “a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism or other supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good.”

While that definition gives a broad view of humanism, what does it actually MEAN? We would love to hear from you.

Give us YOUR thoughts on humanism. What is humanism to you? What does it mean to be a humanist? Is humanism simply about living a human-centered, moral life? Is it about taking care of the planet? Is it about making sure everyone has equal rights?

Let’s talk about humanism.

Let’s start the discussion. Post in Comments about what humanism means to YOU.
